Industrial Broom Selection Guide: Which Model for Your Business

Before You Buy: Ask the Right Questions

Every week we get calls from customers who bought the wrong broom. The problem? They didn't ask the right questions first.

Three things matter: how big is the area (in square meters, not "big" or "small"), what you need to collect (short chips, long chips, dust, mixed), and what equipment you already have (forklifts, capacity, fork height).

Factors to Consider

Area Size

The surface area to clean is the first determining factor:

Small areas (< 500 sqm)

  • Ultra-light manual brooms
  • No investment in mechanized equipment
  • Maximum flexibility
  • Medium areas (500-2000 sqm)

  • 2-meter fork attachment brooms
  • Good balance between coverage and maneuverability
  • Moderate investment
  • Large areas (> 2000 sqm)

  • 3-meter or larger fork attachment brooms
  • 4-meter shovel brooms for maximum efficiency
  • Quick return on investment
  • Material Type

    Not all chips are equal:

    Fine metal chips

  • Standard brooms with harmonic steel bristles
  • Optional blade for complete collection
  • Long, stringy chips

  • Gripper system essential
  • "Octopus" model for tangled materials
  • Mixed materials (chips + dust + debris)

  • Double blade brooms
  • V-configuration to channel material
  • Available Equipment

Fork attachment brooms require a forklift:

  • Check compatibility with your forklifts
  • Consider the weight of the loaded broom
  • Evaluate the required lifting height
  • Model Comparison

    Standard Fork Attachment

    ModelWidthWeightIdeal for
    1.5 x 0.51500 mm~200 kgTight spaces

    3 x 13000 mm420 kgLarge surfaces

    Fork Attachment + Blade

The integrated blade allows collection of even the finest materials:

  • 2x1 Model: 358 kg, ideal for workshops
  • 3x1 Model: 500 kg, for foundries and large plants
  • V Model: special configuration for corners and edges
  • Gripper and Octopus System

For long chips and tangled materials:

  • 2x1 Grippers: 374 kg, versatile
  • 3x1 Grippers: 540 kg, high capacity
  • 2x1.6 Octopus: 915 kg, for the most difficult materials
  • How to Choose: Checklist

    1. **Measure the area** to be cleaned daily

    2. **Identify the main material** to be collected

    3. **Check available equipment** (forklifts, capacity)

    4. **Consider cleaning frequency**

    5. **Evaluate storage space** for the broom

    6. **Define your budget**

    What to Do Now

Get a piece of paper. Write down: square meters, main material, forklift (yes/no and capacity). With these three pieces of info, we can tell you in 5 minutes which broom you need. No fluff.
